Start with a specific task
The first question in an AI project is what needs to change in the operation. A convincing answer is not enough if the system solves the wrong problem.
Define who does the work, what information they use, the expected outcome and acceptable errors. That context helps choose between AI, conventional automation or a better interface.
Design human control
Agree which actions require review, which sources the system may use and how its decisions are recorded. The team should be able to understand and correct an outcome.
A clear scope helps recognise when information is missing or when a decision needs a person.
Measure before expanding
A bounded trial allows comparison with the current process. Quality, time and observed errors offer a basis for the next decision.
The useful measure depends on the task. Agree on the criterion before building.
